River Oaks provides counseling services with the goal of providing excellent care to individuals coping with behavioral health needs. We treat a variety of diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, thought disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance abuse, childhood behavioral problems, and developmental disabilities.
The River Oaks Therapists strive to create a treatment plan centered on you and your needs in order to reach your goals. We provided needed medication and counseling to help you to develop the skills and support network needed to maintain your success. Individuals as young as 5 years old can be assessed for services.

Donna Davis, M.D.
Donna Davis, M.D. is a board certified Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent. She is originally from Little Rock Arkansas. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for her Undergraduate Degree. She then attended The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock Arkansas where she received her Medical Degree. She has been practicing in Tuscaloosa, AL for the past 19 years.
John R. Hubbard, Ph.D., M.D
John R. Hubbard, Ph.D., M.D. received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia where he also earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry. He completed his residency training at the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine and is board certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He has previously been a medical school professor at Harvard Medical School, the University Of Virginia Medical School, the Medical College of Virginia, and Vanderbilt Medical School.
Dr. Hubbard has published six medical books, five books for the general public, over seventy medical/scientific manuscripts, review articles, or book chapters, and more than thirty scientific or clinical research abstracts. As a third-year resident in psychiatry, he was awarded the prestigious “Laughlin Fellowship” by the American College of Psychiatrists for ”outstanding leadership and significant achievements as a resident in psychiatry.” In 2010 and 2015, Dr. Hubbard was named one of “America’s Top Psychiatrists” from the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Additionally, in 2011 he was awarded the Cambridge Who’s Who “Professional of the Year (Representing Mental Health Care Industry).” Dr. Hubbard is also the Medical Director of Indian Rivers Behavioral Health Center.
Krystal Montgomery Patrick
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Krystal is originally from Gordo, AL. Ms. Patrick obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Bevill State Community College in 2010. That year she moved to Alaska where she began her nursing career in the mental health field. She later returned to Alabama and continued to pursue mental health nursing. She has since earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Jacksonville State University and Master’s from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ms. Patrick has over 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health setting.
Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor
Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, she possesses over ten years of clinical experience and three years of supervisory experience in mental health settings. Given that she has spent many years obtaining training in Rapid Resolution Therapy and has completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, she incorporates both of these methods in the work she does with her clients.
Licensed Professional Counselor
Haley is initially from Austin Texas. She obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. After graduation she moved to Tuscaloosa Alabama and has worked in the counseling setting for 5 years. She has experience working with both adults and adolescents for a variety of mental health and stress related concerns.
